We begin exploring Chanukah this coming week and will continue into the following week as well. I have attached this week's Peek for your convenience.
Please note: This coming Friday is "Grandparents/Special Friends" Shabbat. If your child's grandparents wish to attend, please let me know (so I can try to get a few extra 'big' chairs for them in our room). They can come anytime between 9:30 and 9:45 to see our circle time and to enjoy Kabbalat Shabbat with us. Then after Shabbat mini-services, they are free to walk us back to class and, after a kiss and a hug, head off on their own. If your child does not have grandparents that can attend this Fri. morning, you may choose to invite another close friend (relative or non-relative) or you can opt not to have anyone come as a visitor -- any option is totally OK, especially if you can let us know who (& how many) to expect.
I anticipate that our guests will be with us for an hour (from 9:30 to 10:30 am).
Friday evening at 6:00 pm is the next monthly Tot Shabbat. Please bring your children (of all ages!) to Tot Shabbat - a totally child-friendly service!
I must also give you an early head's up to the following Wednesday when we will celebrate our annual Chanukah Happening. We would love (as in love, Love, LOVE!) to have several parent volunteers to help us keep track of our 12 darlings in the many transitions that day. It is not really a good environment for your younger sibling children - but if you can arrange for a sitter for the baby in your family, then please Please PLEASE join us the morning of Wednesday, Dec 12, 2012. I do not know our specific times of the Chanukah Happening just yet, but I will share that information once I do have it.
That's all my news for the moment -- I must grab some sunshine before the sun sets tonight. As always, hug your children for Elena and myself and we will see you tomorrow morning.
truly, Ms. Cathy
