Happy Chanukah!

Hello all,

How the week-ends fly past fast, especially when holidays occur in them!  I hope everyone has enjoyed a lovely first and second night of Chanukah and a fabulous week-end with your families.  Are you ready for the colder weather that is coming?  Be sure that we have warmer clothes for our 'emergency back-up changes' please (long sleeves get wet too easily as Toddlers master the art of washing hands with long floppy sleeves that don't stay pushed up!).

This week, we will be exploring more about Chanukah.  Monday is a day spent with oil and experiencing the frying of latkes.  If you happen to have a potato or a potato peeler (Toddler friendly?), please send on Monday morning, tomorrow, as we will be making latkes in class.  (no worries if you do not happen to have a potato handy -- we already have plenty of pre-grated ones for our recipe -- besides this email is being sent a tad late -- no need for midnight or early a.m. runs to the grocery store!).

On Wednesday, our class will be participating in the annual Chanukah Happening.  We would love to have a few parents join us for this fun, if possible.  From 9:30 to 10:00, we will watch a play/skit in the Chapel with the Threes and PreK classes.  Then from 10:00 to 10:40, we will be rotating among a variety of fun stations (this is where we can truly use extra eyes, ears and hands).  Please join us if you are able.

Friday ends our second week of Chanukah exploration (and the holiday draws to a close on Saturday night).  After that we only have two days of class left to our Fall Semester!  Amazing.

Sleep well an Ms. Elena and I will see you in the morning,   Cathy
