Our Second Week Together

Hello everyone,

We will continue our "getting to know you" and "learning our school routines" in our second week of school.   

A few important announcements:

1)  This coming Thursday evening is a Parent's Only 'Back-to-School' night at Becker.  Please note --  you may bring newborns if that will works best for you (but please do not bring your Toddler & other siblings as it will be crowded and can get a tad crazed for little ones ... and bigger ones too).   The program begins at 7:00 pm in the Chapel, then we will move to our classroom, ending with a reception in the foyer/entryway to Becker.

2)  Friday, September 7, is our monthly "Tot Shabbat" family service beginning at 6:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room (the room with the huge windows).  All are invited.  I believe "Winnie the Jew" is making a special guest appearance.  (Note:  Emanu El Tot Shabbats are held most every month, usually on the first Friday of the month.) 

3)  We are collecting a few family photos from everyone to decorate and personalize your children's cubbies.  If you haven't done so already, please send a few photos of you, your sweet Toddler, any siblings, grandparents, other relatives or dear friends.  These photos will be put together and laminated (the better to last the year) and then returned to you at the end of the year (in their laminated state).  The photos are a comfort to the children (a few have already been well loved and carried around the room a bit!)

4)  Last of all - please remember that Becker is closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day.  Hope all of you enjoy a day off from work too!
