First - remember that Becker is closed on Monday, February 18 -- due to an all-day Teacher Inservice.
Second - Wednesday is our annual Purim Happening! Children may wear costumes (royalty and otherwise) as they learn the story of Queen Esther. You are all invited to come join our class for the fun Happening. Elena and I always appreciate extra eyes and hands to help our class enjoy the many fun activities (plus Annie -Sam's mom and Cindy -Levi's mom are the chairs!). We go to a Rachel Buchman performance promptly at 9:35, then into Feld Hall for several entertaining activities (extra hands needed here!).
Third - Friday is Houston's "Go Texan" day. We invite all our Becker cowboys and cowgirls to come in their cowpoke duds!
Other important announcements include: Yom Limmud is Sunday at Beth Israel. 10:30 is PJ Library storytime followed by a concert by Caroline Figiel and Danny Jones (today's Shabbat was with this duo).
A week later, on Sunday, Feb. 24 is the Emanu El Purim Shpiel - 10:00 in the Sanctuary followed by the Purim Carnival from 11:00 - 2:00 pm Please come and enjoy the Purim fun!
Last, Thursday, Feb. 28 is our Becker Book Fair at Barnes and Noble on Buffalo Speedway and Holcombe Blvd from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Support our school and enjoy a new book (or magazine) for you or your children!
Lots of announcements and reminders .... let me end with THANK YOU for enjoying our Shabbat concert/service this morning to the many Moms and Grandma and Grandpa who joined us.
