Hello all,
The good news is that the heater has been repaired which means our Playground has been re-opened for use (access to the heater was on our playground). On Friday, we let the kids run and run - outside, that is. We were all happy to be outside again!
We enjoyed having our Dads (and a few Moms) joining us for the annual Father's Breakfast. The children loved sharing their morning with each of you! They enjoyed celebrating Ethan's and Reese's birthday treats later that morning too.
Thank you for your prompt pick-up on Friday (for our Noon Dismissal). Since we did not serve lunch at school that day, we saved our Shabbat challah until 11:00 a.m. and enjoyed the bonus of birthday cupcakes for Eden's birthday too (in case you were wondering why your child was not hungry for lunch...)
This coming week, Elena and I have planned some fun: exploring our favorite Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes. See more info on our Peek, which I've attached.
Also on Monday, we will be handing out the Becker registration packets for next year's classes. Registration officially opens for current students and for Emanu El members on Monday. I encourage everyone to fill out your forms and return promptly ... it is the best way to secure your child's spot for next year (in either a 3-day or a 5-day class).
At the end of the week, we have two special events: Friday night is the monthly Tot Shabbat service for young children and their families. It begins at 6:00 (usually in the Multi-Purpose Room). Then on Saturday morning, Becker is hosting the annual Grandparents' Shabbat at 9:30 a.m. Reservations are required for the Grandparents and grandchildren - please speak with Leslie for more information. There is a small fee to participate in this fun event as well.
Enjoy your week-end! Looks as if tomorrow will be just as lovely as today was -- perfect weather to spend at the Zoo or on the Train celebrating birthdays! Happy Birthday to all of our three-year-olds!
truly, Cathy
